Description

These Apple Sandwiches are a fun, no-bread snack made with crisp apple slices, creamy peanut or almond butter, crunchy granola, and optional chocolate chips or raisins. They’re quick, healthy, and kid-friendly.

Ingredients

  • 1 apple, cored and sliced into 1/4-inch rounds
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter or almond butter
  • 1 tablespoon granola
  • Optional: mini chocolate chips
  • Optional: raisins

Instructions

  1. Core the apple and slice it into 1/4-inch rounds.
  2. Spread peanut butter or almond butter onto one apple slice.
  3. Sprinkle with granola and, if desired, mini chocolate chips or raisins.
  4. Top with another apple slice to make a sandwich.
  5. Press gently and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use cookie cutters to make fun-shaped apple slices for kids.
  • Pat the apple slices dry before assembling to help the nut butter stick.
  • My youngest calls these ‘apple cookies.’
