Description

These Cheeseburger Bombs are loaded with seasoned ground beef, cheddar cheese, and dill pickles, all wrapped inside buttery biscuit dough and baked until golden. They’re the perfect handheld appetizer, snack, or easy family dinner served with fry sauce for dipping.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small yellow onion, finely diced
  • 1 tablespoon hamburger seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup finely diced dill pickles
  • 1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 can (8-count) refrigerated biscuits (not flaky)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons sesame seeds
  • Fry sauce, for dipping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and spray a 10-inch oven-safe skillet with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Cook the ground beef and onion over medium heat until the beef begins to brown.
  3. Add the hamburger seasoning, seasoned salt, and black pepper. Continue cooking until the beef is fully browned. Drain excess grease if needed.
  4. Flatten each biscuit into a 5-inch circle about 1/8-inch thick.
  5. Add 1 tablespoon shredded cheddar cheese to the center of each biscuit.
  6. Top with about 1/3 cup of the beef mixture and 1 tablespoon diced pickles.
  7. Pinch the edges tightly to seal and place seam-side down in the prepared skillet.
  8. Mix melted butter with garlic powder and brush over each biscuit.
  9. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  10. Bake for 23-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  11. Cool for a few minutes and serve warm with fry sauce.

Notes

  • Seal the biscuit edges well to prevent the filling from leaking.
  • Use freshly shredded cheddar for the best melt and flavor.
  • Add cooked bacon for a bacon cheeseburger version.
  • Serve with fry sauce, ketchup, or burger sauce for dipping.
