Description

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 14 oz beef sausage, sliced
  • 6 tbsp butter, divided
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 3 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 5 cups chopped cabbage
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese


Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add sliced sausage and cook until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. Add 2 tablespoons butter to the skillet and reduce heat to medium.
  4. Stir in the chopped onion and sauté until softened.
  5. Add the remaining 4 tablespoons butter and the chopped cabbage.
  6. Sprinkle Cajun seasoning over the cabbage and stir well.
  7. Pour in the heavy whipping cream and mix to combine.
  8. Cover and simmer for 10–15 minutes until the cabbage becomes tender.
  9. Remove the lid and stir in the Parmesan cheese.
  10. Cook for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens and becomes creamy.
  11. Return the sausage to the skillet and stir to combine.
  12. Serve immediately while hot.
