Description

Loaded Cheesy Pocket Tacos are crispy baked tortillas stuffed with seasoned ground beef, creamy salsa-infused cream cheese, and melted cheddar cheese. They’re an easy family-friendly dinner that’s perfect for busy weeknights or game day snacks.

Ingredients

  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 12 (6-inch) flour tortillas

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a baking tray.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess grease.
  3. Add the taco seasoning according to the package directions and stir until the beef is evenly coated.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth, then mix in the salsa until fully combined.
  5. Spread a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture onto the center of each tortilla.
  6. Top with seasoned beef and sprinkle generously with shredded Cheddar cheese.
  7. Fold the tortillas burrito-style, sealing the filling inside to create pockets.
  8. Arrange the filled tortillas seam-side down on the prepared baking tray.
  9. Brush the tops with melted butter.
  10. Bake for about 15 minutes, or until the tortillas are golden brown and crispy.
  11. Serve hot with salsa, sour cream, or your favorite taco toppings.

Notes

  • Use ground turkey or chicken as a lighter alternative.
  • Add diced jalapeños or green chilies for extra heat.
  • Serve with guacamole, sour cream, or fresh pico de gallo.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat in the oven or air fryer for the crispiest texture.
