Description

This Oreo Banana Bread is moist, rich, and packed with sweet ripe bananas and crunchy Oreo cookie pieces. Finished with a simple vanilla glaze, it’s the perfect dessert or snack for Oreo lovers and banana bread fans alike.

Ingredients

  • For the Bread
  • 3–4 medium ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chopped Oreo cookies
  • For the Glaze
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2–3 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×4-inch loaf pan.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
  3. Stir in the vegetable oil, baking soda, salt, vanilla extract, and eggs until well combined.
  4. Add the granulated sugar and brown sugar and mix until smooth.
  5. Fold in the flour until just combined, then gently fold in the chopped Oreo cookies.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  10. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled banana bread. Let it set before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Use overripe bananas with brown spots for the sweetest flavor.
  • Do not overmix the batter to keep the bread soft and tender.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 4–5 days or refrigerate for up to 1 week.
  • Freeze individual slices for up to 3 months.
