Description

Sweet Chili Shrimp with Asparagus is a quick and flavorful Asian-inspired dinner featuring tender shrimp, crisp asparagus, and a sweet, savory chili glaze. Ready in just 20 minutes, it’s perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/3 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • Green onions, for garnish
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the asparagus and cook for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  3. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until pink and fully cooked.
  4. Stir in the sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, and minced garlic.
  5. Cook for another 2 minutes until the sauce is heated through and coats the shrimp.
  6. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
  7. Serve immediately over steamed rice or noodles if desired.

Notes

  • Serve over rice or noodles for a complete meal.
  • Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for extra heat.
  • Do not overcook the shrimp or they may become rubbery.
  • Fresh broccoli or snap peas can be substituted for the asparagus.
